First 2021 Cruise Call

30 August 2021 – Ravenna Cruise Port inaugurates its 2021 season with the M/V Artemis call, arrived today at dawn at the Crociere Pier in Porto Corsini.

This is the first call after the stop imposed by the pandemic, during which Ravenna Cruise Port hosted several idle ships. The next calls, almost all expected for the month of October, will involve the terminal in transit and turnaround operations, crowding it with guests from all over the world ready to admire the beauties of Ravenna, its historic neighborhood, and all nearby destinations, such as Bologna, S. Marino and Venice.

Still berthed on the South quay, the M/V Artemis, from the Grand Circle Travel fleet, is a 60-meter-long ship inaugurated in 2008, since then sailing between the Adriatic and the Aegean, to discover the wonders of the countries overlooking the coasts of these seas. Its fifty passengers, mostly American, enjoy a careful and almost personalized service, a luxury treatment that creates a unique and unforgettable experience in an almost familiar atmosphere.

Safety, health and prevention are guaranteed on board by compliance with the company’s strict protocols, while on the ground the anti-contagion rules implemented by Ravenna Cruise Port are in force, thanks to which the company obtained the “Safe Travels Stamp” from the World Travel & Tourism Council.

Since the end of 2016, Ravenna Cruise Port has become part of the network of Global Ports Holding (GPH), the largest independent cruise terminal operator in the world, with an established presence in the Caribbean, Mediterranean, Asia-Pacific regions, including extensive commercial port operations in Montenegro. Established in 2004 as an independent cruise port operator with a diversified portfolio of cruise and commercial ports, the group holds a unique position in the cruise port landscape, positioning itself as the world’s leading cruise port brand.
